High Speed Mechanical Gripper Feeder
Makewell Gripper Feeder is ideal for accurate feeding of coil material on medium and high speed presses with progressive tools. With feeding accuracy to the tune of ±10 microns.
Operations
A right angle rear box is mounted on the press crankshaft to transmit the press rotary drive to the feeder. A splined shaft and a coupling connect the gear box with the feeder. The rotary motion of the feed slide with the help of an eccentric disc. Wedge type carbide Grippers advances the strip between hardened upper and lower stock guides for proper feeding and to avoid buckling. Full rotation roller cams control feed cycle and timing of pilot release. A scale and a vernier are provided for feed length adjustment to ensure operator friendliness. Different stock thickness is reset by adjusting the two knurled hand knobs.
